Windsurfing: Levington Wind Direction: wsw Wind Stength: 10/14 Surf / Sea State: flatish Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 11 Weather: sunny Max Speed: 18.83 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 19.66 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
It was too nice a day not to try, wall to wall sunshine and a balmy 11
degrees:) With the wind in the west I headed to Levington even though the
tide was low and still going out! In the marina I spoke to a nice man who
works there and he said he had no problem with windsurfers parking:) so I
went to my usual spot by the marina entrance and with the wind gusting over
20 mph so went with 8.5 on the longboard and sadly it was never enough and
I should have rigged the 9.4! I still enjoyed nearly three hours out in the
sunshine sailing up to the docks watching the huge container ships being
unloaded, I even saw one leave port and another come in!!! I also sailed
nearly up to Pin Mill where there were hundreds of birds in the mud, I also
saw a large seal:) Blowing a gale tomorrow with a good tide for Southend
but I am working tonight so can't make :( Good speeds to everyone!
